Welcome to the website of the Family Resources Center of Quebec (F.R.C.Q.).

Good Day:

Since 1992, we have worked hard for the well being of the population with the greatest dedication to help those in need. The Family Resources Center of Quebec (F.R.C.Q.) has provided a direct and free assistance to teenagers, parents, and grandparents and others who had difficulties arising from the break-up of the family either through a separation or a divorce.

Whether it was harmful substance abuses, juvenile delinquency, school dropout, physical or psychological domestic violence, belonging to a street gang, suicidal tendencies or difficulties related to child poverty, we were happy to provide legal information and references to thousands of community services in Quebec.

The 10/12 Prevention Program was designed for young people aged 10 to 12 and it raised awareness among young people in grades 5 and 6 concerning the decisions they would have to take once they entered high school: smoking, drug and alcohol consumption, street gangs, violence, bullying, etc...

Every year since 1992, the Family Resources Center of Quebec has also organized recreational and educational activities for young people who would otherwise have been deprived of such joys. The F.R.C.Q supports families who struggle with financial difficulties and who do not have the chance to offer these moments of pleasure and happiness to their children. Over the years, more than 16,530 youngsters have participated in the Snow Festival, the Easter Party and the Ecological and Preventive Day. These activities have provided children who live in the poorest areas of Montreal and Quebec, rare moments of magic and fun.

Today, we regret to inform you that our activities will have to come to an end.

Your benevolence was essential to the success of our mission and allowed us to make a difference in the lives of so many children and families each year. Your continued collaboration improved their quality of life, and for that, I thank you.
