Welcome to the website of the Family Resources Center of Quebec (F.R.C.Q.), a registered charity founded to come to the aid of children, adolescents, parents, grandparents and any other individual experiencing family problems, often due to a family break up or other family conflicts.

The F.R.C.Q. offers a wide variety of FREE services such as a confidential telephone help line, professional legal advice, a data bank containing over 2,000 community services and information sessions.

2010 Ecological and Preventive Day

Bet on the future of our society: children!

Since 1994, the Family Resources Center of Quebec (F.R.C.Q.) organizes the Ecological and Preventive Day and makes a difference in the lives of children in need. This activity allows young people to learn a variety of techniques such as how to survive in the forest and use a compass all while enjoying nature and in respect of the environment. Most importantly, it allows these disadvantaged children to break their isolation and escape their harsh reality. This activity will probably be their only trip outside the city. They need our help to enjoy some moments of happiness as other more affluent children.

This country escape is offered to 120 poor children aged between 9 and 10 years from the regions of Montreal and Quebec. They leave these enchanting places, not only with new knowledge, but also with a lot of gifts they will greatly appreciate. In addition, the organization of recreational and educational days is a great way to contribute to the development and the fulfillment of the young people of our society.

By sponsoring one or more children, you give them moments of happiness, but also the hope of a better future. You contribute directly to improving their quality of life and you make a difference.
